An Eclectic Approach To Treatment of Low Back Pain
Course Description This two-day course will teach the participant how to use a system of assessment and treatment of low back pain based on classification of the patient into a treatment group. Most importantly, it provides the clinician with the ability to take an eclectic approach in treatment of the lumbar spine. It incorporates basic principles that are fundamental to several different schools of thought (McKenzie, Manual Therapy, Exercise, Segmental Lumbar Stabilization) and rolls them into a process of clinical decision-making, which is both driven by the patient’s symptoms and supported by the research. The course is 11.25 contact hours and complies with all APTA recommendations for continuing education courses.
